Who we are

Club Kick is a football training and media platform published at clubkick.com. It is operated by Jack Folan. An Australian business registration is in progress, and this page will be updated with the registered business name and ABN as soon as it is issued.

We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to a visitor, we also meet the additional obligations set out in this policy.

For anything to do with your information, email [email protected].

What we collect

What we collect depends on what you do on the site. We do not ask for information we do not need.

Reading the site

We collect the pages you view, how long you spend on them, the link or site that brought you here, your approximate location based on your IP address, and your device and browser type. Analytics and advertising information is only collected where you have allowed it. See cookies, analytics and advertising.

The Team Sheet newsletter

Your email address, and the date and time you subscribed. We keep a record of your subscription so we can show that you asked to hear from us.

Shop orders

Your name, email address, billing address, delivery address for physical items, phone number where you give one, what you ordered and your order history. If you create an account we also store your username and an encrypted password.

We never see or store your full card details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider on their own systems. We receive a confirmation, the last four digits of the card and the card type.

Online Coaching

Your name and email address, what you bought, and the information you choose to give us about your football so the programme is useful to you. That normally means your age group, your position and what you want to work on. You do not have to give us anything else.

Train With Jack sessions

Train With Jack is in person coaching in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney for players aged 8 to 16, booked by a parent or guardian. We collect:

  • The name, email address and phone number of the parent or guardian making the booking.
  • The player first name, age and position.
  • The session date, time and location.

We do not ask for the player address, school, date of birth or any health or medical information through the website. If there is anything we need to know to keep a player safe during a session, we ask the parent or guardian directly before the first session and keep it separately from the booking record.

Contact forms and email

Whatever you send us, including your name, your email address and the content of your message.

Comments on articles

The name, email address and comment you submit, and your IP address, which we use to filter spam.

Young players and parents

Club Kick covers youth football and young players read the site. We take that seriously.

  • Bookings, purchases and accounts are for adults. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to make the booking or the purchase.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 without a parent or guardian involved.
  • We ask for the least we can about a young player. A first name, an age and a position is normally all we need.
  • We do not use a young player information for advertising and we do not sell it.
  • We do not photograph or film a player at a session, or use anything from a session on our social channels, without separate written permission from the parent or guardian. That permission is always optional and you can withdraw it at any time.

If you believe a child has given us their details, email [email protected] and we will delete them.

Why we use it

  • To take payment, fulfil orders and deliver programmes and sessions.
  • To run and confirm coaching bookings, and to contact you about a session.
  • To send you The Team Sheet and other emails you have asked for.
  • To answer your questions.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and filter spam.
  • To understand which articles and drills people find useful, so we can make better ones.
  • To show advertising on the site, where you have allowed it.
  • To meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, our legal bases are: your consent for marketing emails and for optional cookies; performance of a contract for orders, programmes and bookings; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the site; and legal obligation for records we are required to keep. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for four things: to make the site work, to measure how it is used, to remember your preferences, and to show advertising.

Only the cookies needed to make the site work are set automatically. That covers your basket, checkout, login, security and your cookie choice itself. Everything else, including analytics and advertising, is off until you turn it on.

You can change your mind at any time using , which is also linked in the footer of every page.

Our Cookie Policy lists the categories, what sits in each one and how long each cookie lasts.

Advertising on this site is served by Google. Where you allow advertising cookies, Google may use them to show ads based on your interests and to measure whether an ad worked. Where you do not, you will still see ads but they will not be based on your browsing. You can review Google’s own controls at myadcenter.google.com.

Who we share it with

No system is perfect. If something goes wrong and there is a real risk of serious harm to you, we will tell you and the relevant regulator as required.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete information we no longer need.
  • Stop sending you marketing. Every email has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately.
  • Change your cookie choices, at any time, through Cookie Settings in the footer.

Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for this. We may need to confirm who you are before we act.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union

You also have the right to receive your information in a portable format, to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, to ask us to restrict processing while a dispute is resolved, and to withdraw consent at any time.

There are limited situations where we cannot delete information, for example where we are required to keep an order record for tax purposes. If that applies we will tell you why.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email [email protected] with the detail and we will look into it and respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to a regulator:

  • Australia. Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, oaic.gov.au.
  • United Kingdom. Information Commissioner’s Office, ico.org.uk.
  • European Union. The data protection authority in the country where you live.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant we will tell subscribers by email.
